It’s actually lighter than Custard once it’s blended out.Īny concealer will cling to dry flakes, but I find that this concealer looks nice over dry areas on my face and doesn’t create dry patches. The Soft Matte shades tend to run darker than the Radiant Creamy shades, but Canelle somehow ended up working perfectly on my skin. If you want flawless looking skin, this is not the concealer for you. You will like this if you prefer a more natural look. It claims to be a “full-coverage concealer in an oil-free, ultra-lightweight cream formula that blurs imperfections as it conceals, smoothing the look of skin with a soft-matte, natural-looking finish.” I agree that the formula is lightweight, it blurs imperfections, and it makes the skin look smoother, but it is not full-coverage. I can see why a lot of people would dislike this concealer, but it has exactly what I was looking for: medium-coverage, a natural finish, easy to blend, and long-wearing. However, I am excited about this concealer, and getting excited about a concealer gets me even more excited. One day the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer walked into my life, and everything changed… The MAC Pro Longwear concealer dispenses too much product and it’s difficult to blend. I love using the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in the summer when my skin is at its oiliest, but the texture can be frustrating to work with. The NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is great, but it can end up looking cakey by the end of the day, and it doesn’t always blend well with other base products. I have a rotation of concealers that I use regularly because they’re “good enough” to get the job done, but I have never been super happy with how they look on my skin. I love the idea of it, but I’ve never been able to find one that blended naturally into my skin.
